Busy bands on the contest stage!
The rankings are calculated based on contest results over a rolling 36-month period and the ranking points tally is effectively a weighted average of the points earned per contest. The number of contests actually played by each band varies a lot though but the 'busiest band in Britain' title (for contests, at least) goes to Tredegar, with a whopping 21 contests over the last 3 years!
Of the bands currently ranked in the top-100 of the brassstats.com rankings, 23 of them have contested a minimum of 15 times during the 3-year rankings period as follows:
